What are we all about?

We meet seasonally at St Richard's Parish House in Atherton and spend a Sunday afternoon together sharing our Christianity, Spirituality and Friendship.

Our group aims to address the problem of meeting the needs of adults with a learning disability who would find some church services impossible to take part in.

We approach the situation from a different angle using sensory understanding of Christ's life and our own, and how we all have different ways to express ourselves.

The members of our group with learning Disabilities are not overwhelmed with kindness nor pressured to sit still, answer questions or be quite. Hopefully they feel able to participate at their own level and are as important to the group as any other member. People who do not feel disabled are not there as helpers, but to take equal part in the experience.

We hope to meet new people and glean some interesting ideas from anyone who wishes, like us, to KNOW Jesus, not just know about Jesus. For details of meeting times contact Christine.
