Friends of St. Richard's organized a family race night on 18th May 2001
Owners entered a race horse and choose their jockey or people just came along and had a bet. The jockey moved the wooden horse forward along a grid, on the roll of two dice. Another very enjoyable night for those taking part and those watching. The winning owner from each race won a bottle of whiskey.

Hot-dogs ( donated by Glendale FF Group ) and pop were for sale or folk brought their own booze.

The event raised £300 towards the Friends of St. Richard's fund for an interactive whiteboard to assist in the teaching of IT to all year groups. Well Done! Special thanks go to Neil and Margaret Hurley for their expertise.
