Notices

Please remember in your prayers the family and friends of:
Miss Margaret Berry who died on Monday and was buried on Thursday. Many will remember Margaret and her sister Bella as faithful and industrious members of our Church in their younger days. May she rest in the peace of Christ

Mission Appeal
This year the Medical Missionaries of Mary are making an appeal throughout the Archdiocese. Sister Maura will preach at all Masses on Saturday and Sunday at Sacred Heart and St Richard's churches. The annual retiring collection for the Missions will be taken.

Advent Group begins again on Sunday 11th March 1.45 ish - 3.30 ish. everyone's welcome

JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR - the Musical . . .will be coming to Manchester later in the year (October) and we have an opportunity to reserve tickets now. If you think you would be interested in going please print your name on the Poster in the Narthex.

The Cycle of Prayer
During Lent we are asked to pray for these intentions:

Information

Fr Graeme had his operation to relieve pressure in his eye. The intial report is that this has been successful, he has been discharged from hospital and is resting at home. We wish him a speedy recovery.

I would like to thank all concerned for making the Macmillan Cancer Relief Concert a great success on Friday 16th February. Also to Wigan Youth Brass Band and their Conductor, Mr Dave Little. To Fr Steve and all the people who provided excellent prizes for the Raffle. We raised £1,400 for the charity. Also a big thank you to Cath Gildart for being brilliant and most of all to all the people who came along to support, we hope you all enjoyed it.
