Today is a day of Special Prayer for Vocations. There will be a retiring collection for Vocations after each Mass.

The May Procession & Crowning of Our Lady will take place next Sunday 13th May at 3.00 pm

Tesco Computer Vouchers
This year St Richard's School received 3033 TESCO coupons towards development of the computer suite. A big thank you to all who have handed in their coupons at church.

Congratulations to Vincent Hankinson who successfully completed the London Marathon and has chosen to donate any sponsorship to the Sacred Heart Building Fund. Sponsor money will be collected outside Church after Mass this week from those who pledged support.

St Richard's Parish Centre Grand Dance (Friday 27th April)
Thanks to Christine Rigby and Jack Collier for organising the dance, it was a very enjoyable evening... and thanks to everyone who helped in any way with raffle prizes and refreshments etc. £190 was raised towards the Snr Parishioners Christmas Party

Vote for the Common Good
The Catholic Bishops of England and Wales have issued a statement in advance of the General Election called 'Vote for the Common Good'. The intention is to provide some reflections on the Church's social teaching. Copies are available at the back of Church today and each household is invited to take one. It is available on the internet on

Please note - The Bishops are not telling people how to vote but are asking people to look at the social teaching of the church and how they relate to the issues facing society today.
