Today's Gospel : Luke 1:57 - 66; 80
Call to Faith     : John the Baptist was chosen to announce to the people the coming of the Saviour.
Exploring Gospel Values : John knew everyone wanted to greet God as Saviour. He was sure the right way to greet the good news of a Saviour is to have a clean heart. He said that the way for people to be ready to receive the good news is to change their ways.
Call to Action : The best way to greet Jesus is to begin by spreading love in our families.

Notices

Please remember in your prayers the family and friends of: Marie Walsh whose Requiem Mass will take place on Tuesday at 10 am followed by Committal at St Oswald's Cemetery .
May she rest in the Peace of Christ.

At the Garden Party Social it was announced that Christine will be next year's organiser. I'm sure by early next year again, she will be looking for your support in the smooth running of the event. Two prizes were given to stallholders, one was the 'Best Dressed Stall Award' to The Price Family whose Toy Tombola was set off by some ingenious branches and a honey-pot! And the second for the 'Non-Stop Stall', with Mairead McLoughlin, Laura Joyce and Linda Ryder whose heads were not lifted from their braiding and tattooing all afternoon and even continuing after most people had gone home. Well Done to all of the Stallholders.

JESUS christ superstar
I've hooked a great deal for us on Circle seats which should have been nearly £20 . . . We have 45 tickets for £9.50 to see this show on Thursday 15th November at 2.30 pm. Those who put their name on the sheet in the Narthex have first refusal. We would like to know how many people will want transport arranging, (this will be an additional cost which we will keep to a minimum,) and how many of these are registered with Ring and Ride. It will be in the Newsletter if any seats become available later. Please pay Fr Stephen for your tickets a.s.a.p. Thanks.
