Notices

Please remember in your prayers the family and friends of: Helen Westwell who will be received into church on Sunday evening at 7.30 pm, and whose Requiem Mass will take place at 12 noon on Monday. May she rest in the peace of Christ.

Children's Liturgy of the Word
On Saturday 1st December from 2 pm - 5 pm at St Gabriel's Parish Centre there is an 'In-service Training' Day with an Advent theme. This session is intended for all who are connected or help with Children's Liturgy. Please let Fr Steve know if you are interested in taking up this opportunity.

St Richard's Cards and Bookshop
Christmas Cards & Gifts The launch of our new stock for Christmas this year will be in the same place ~ St Richard's Parish Hall ~ but at a different time ... this year it's on SATURDAY 3RD NOVEMBER from 11 am until 3.30 pm Hopefully this will make it easier for people to get here without fear of dark nights etc. £1 per Ticket includes Glass of Wine / Cup of Tea and a Mince Pie (Tickets on sale in shop after mass)

Celebratory Songs of Praise
Atherton Top Ten Hymns A service takes place at the Parish Church at 3pm this afternoon when your favourite Hymns will be sung. Come along to join in this celebration of Sacred Music. "To Sing is to Pray Twice"

Prize Bingo Night
In Aid of the Annual Christmas Party for Senior Parishioners, organised by members of SVP Society, we are having a Prize Bingo Night St Richard's Parish Hall Friday November 2nd
Eyes down ~ 8 pm
Donations of prizes would br gratefully received on Monday BINGO evenings or left behind the bar.

Information

Team Meetings
Fathers Ronny, Dave and myself now have regular team meetings at St Richard's on Tuesday at 10 am. These are essentially planning meetings that will enable us to sort out Mass times and workload for the coming week and to discuss issues arising. These meetings are scheduled to last for one hour.
