Taize Prayer . . .
This Summer some of our young people went to Taize, an ecumenical youth retreat centre in France. They have been so impressed by what they saw and heard that they want to share that experience with others and so we are starting our own Taize Prayer Group in the Deanery on the 3rd Sunday of each month. The first meeting will be at St Josephıs at 7.30 pm on 18th November - if you want to know more about Taize or Taize Prayer come along . . . Fr Ronnie's your man for any questions.

Leigh Deanery DAY of REFLECTION & DISCUSSION
An open Day for anyone in the Leigh Deanery on Saturday 8th December 2001 from 10 am - 4 pm (lunch will be provided) Holy Family Parish Hall, Boothstown. Instead of reacting to a developing situation, we are trying to plan for the future. But to be able to do that, priests and people need to reflect together on four crucial questions :
What is the Church for?
What is the role of the Eucharist?
What do we understand by the word parish?
What might be a way forward for the churches in this area?
This is an important day for each parish in the deanery. Everyone is welcome . . . (catholics practising or not), Christians from other Churches, people from other Community groups. If you are able to come along, please sign the list at the back of church. Many Thanks.

The first read-through is on Wednesday January 9th at Central Methodist Church, High Street. They are also looking for an Administrator/Coordinator.
