November
Pious List
This week Pious List sheets and envelopes will be available at the back
of church for those wishing to remember loved ones who have died. In
the Church, November is traditionally the time when we remember those
who have died. Since last November there have been 27 deaths recorded
in the parish register. If you wish to write names of family and friends
please take a sheet and envelope returning them next week and putting
them in a box provided. The lists will then be collected together and
masses said for those named. An offering can be placed in the envelope
provided.
HCPT
The Pilgrimage Trust are looking for collectors to stand
outside Maine Road (Man. City) Football Ground on Saturday November
3rd. For further details ask for leaflet from Fr Cooper.

Information
BONFIRE
NIGHT
Sadly, the Health and Safety issues, plus the need for insurance, has
made bonfires and firework displays a matter for professional Pyrotechnical
Display Companies. The site of our bonfire and fairly loose safety arrangements
means that an accident is likely at some stage, and so it is with regret
that from this year, I will not now be building and lighting bonfires,
or setting off fireworks in a public way.

THANK
YOU'S . . .
-
The
Legion of Mary would like to thank the SVP and all who helped at the
Auxilliaries Mass on Saturday 6th October. The Holy Sacrament of The
Eucharist will be offered for their Intentions.
-
St
Richard's St Vincent de Paul Society have reached their Golden Anniversary.
It has been 50 years since it was established at St Richard's. John
Neary who is President has been with our SVP for 42 years and deserves
a mention for that. The founding members are all now deceased but
over the years, many people have been involved in, helped by or given
help to the SVP, who in turn want to add their very grateful Thanks
to every one of those people.
Call to
Faith
We are called to pray without ceasing. We are called to pray without
ceasing in the firm conviction that God does hear our prayer and will
answer that prayer in a way that is best for us.
