Atherton's
Top Ten Hymns
On Sunday 14th October at 3.00 pm the Churches Together in Atherton
will be holding a service at the Parish Church (St John the Baptist)
to celebrate Atherton's own favourite Top Ten Hymns. For the service
we will put together a booklet which will include the text of The Top
Ten Hymns, together with the names of every person who has taken part
and the number of votes for each hymn. Everyone is invited to take part,
whether you are connected to a particular church or not! Votes to be
returned by 23rd September, TODAY! If you have not already put your
vote in an envelope marked Top Ten Hymns --- write your own personal
favourite hymn on one of the sheets in the Narthex as you leave Mass.
Children's
Liturgy of theWord
The Little Church and Junior Church have started again. A very big thank
you to all who helped last year. If you are interested and would like
to help out just ask one of the leaders if you can attend a session.
You may not feel confident to lead but an extra hand is always welcomed!
On Saturday 1st December from 2 pm - 5 pm at St Gabriel's Parish Centre
there is an 'In-service Training' Day with an Advent theme. This session
is intended for all who are connected or help with Children's Liturgy.
Please let Fr Steve know if you are interested in taking up this opportunity.
